The Sportsman's Repository; comprising a series of highly-finished engravings representing the horse and the dog. London: for Sherwood, Neely, and Jones, 1820. 4°, first leaf with wood-engraving, engraved frontispiece and 37 plates, engraved and woodcut vignettes (frontispiece spotted, some light spotting to plate margins, text lightly browned throughout with some offsetting from plates), contemporary half calf (rubbed, corners very worn). Provenance: James Thomas Cranshaw (inscription on free endpaper; some pencil notes and sketches on endpapers).

FIRST EDITION. Huth p.93; Schwerdt I, p. 305-306: "a good book on sporting dogs".
