The issue for June, 1793, in volume II contains "The Laws of Cricket, as revised by the cricket club at St. Mary-le-Bone", and "a beautiful representation of a Grand Match in Lord's Ground" on an engraved plate by Cook (pp. 134-26). The issue for June, 1828, in vol. 21 new series (vol. 71 old series) gives the laws (pp. 121-123) and "Decision of the Marylebone Club on the Proposed Law of Bowling" (p. 175); August 1828 also includes an article on "Game at Golf". M. Cotton's verses on "The Noble Game of Cricket" appear in the July 1815 issue, vol. 45 (p. 190). Reports on cricket matches appear in the summer issues for the majority of years, though seemingly not 1815-17. Padwick 160, 175 and 1210; Schwerdt II, p. 174: "without doubt, the most interesting sporting publication of its time". (12)
