A gilt bronze figure of Buddha Akshobya
Tibet, 16th century
Finely cast seated in dhyanasana over a double lotus base with beaded edges, his right hand extended in bhumisparsa mudra and his left held in dhyana mudra, wearing a sanghati with incised hems, his face in a meditative expression with remains of polychromy in his eyes and lips, flanked to either side by elongated earlobes and surmounted by his tightly curled hair pulled over the ushnisha topped with a gold knop, the vajra placed before him
