ATTRIBUTED TO HENRY KETTLE, LATE 18TH CENTURY
The oval twin-flao top centred by a still-life scene with floral crossbanded edge, above a frieze drawer, on square tapering legs, with brass caps and castors, the drawer previously with paper label inscribed in ink 'The Property of Sir Charles Wingfield C. B.,KCSI, lot 87 May 20th 1892, a fine Georgian and satinwood pembroke table, made by Henry Kettle, St. Paul's Churchyard, London' and also previously with printed label of Royal Coat of Arms and paper label inscribed in ink 'E. M', the handles replaced, later decorated
28 in. (71 cm.) high; 37½ in. (95cm.) wide; 30 in. (76 cm.) deep
Provenance
Henry Kettle was a cabinet-maker, upholder and undertaker based around St. Paul's Churchyard, London (c. 1773-97)

Sir Charles Wingfield (b. 1820), was in Oudh State, India frm 1839-1866 where he was Commissioner in 1856 and Chief Commissioner in 1860.
