In the Art Nouveau taste, finely painted with a bust-length portrait of a beauty, a vine of purple flowers about her head and shoulder, against a field of gilt daisies and within a shaped gilt-beaded cartouche and further stalks of Queen Anne's Lace flowers, on a pierced wooden stand

It is interesting to note that the present subject stands among the same flowers as the beauty in lot 36, entitled Gironflés, which translates to 'Wallflower'.
