A ROMAN BRONZE PHALLIC AMULET
CIRCA 1ST/2ND CENTURY A.D.
With central male genitalia, pubic hair incised, flanked by two conjoined phalli; a bronze amulet with conjoined mano fica, male genitalia below; a bronze 'flying phallus' with wings; five other bronze phallic amulets, all with suspension loops, all mainly 1st-2nd Century A.D., 2 3/8 in. (6 cm.) long max.; and a bronze negro head, hair in rows of 'ribbed' curls, with bulging brows, rimmed eyes, and large fleshy nose and lips, mounted, 1½ in. (4 cm.) high (9)
