Lot Essay

Under command of Sir William Wiseman, the Curaçoa sailed from Sydney to the archipelagoes of the western Pacific making stops at Lord Howe Island, Norfolk Island, Samoa, Tonga, and Fiji. The voyage is especially notable for the important natural history data collected.
Julius L Brenchley, was the authour of the work that resulted from the voyage, Jottings during the Cruise of H.M.S. Curaçoa among the South Sea Islands in 1865
