Lot Essay

Pope Clement XIII commissioned Giovanni Volpato (1733-1803), Giovanni Ottaviani (1735-1808) and Gaetano Savorelli (-1791) to produce engravings of the Logia of Raphael painted between 1518 and 1519 for the future Pope Leo X.

The fan leaf appears to have been remounted as the leaf has been slightly extended.
