An Arita blue and white dish and a Nabeshima saucer,
circa 1700 and Meiji period
The Arita 'kraak'-style dish painted in the central panel with a deer standing between a lotus and peony stem forming an arch, surrounded on the well and rim with alternate panels of pine and Buddhistic symbols (glaze scratching), 32cm. diam.; and a blue and white Nabeshima saucer-dish, the rounded form raised on a tall slightly tapering foot, the interior painted with sprays of lotus and chrysanthemum (rim chip), 16cm. diam.
