A pair of ivory Shibayama vases,
Late 19th Century, signed Seiju
One decorated in Shibayama style with a cockerel and chicks and flowering cherry branches with wisteria in two shaped panels, the other similarly decorated with a hen and chicks and birds on a cherry branch, silver mount decorated in cloisonné and filgrée with flowerheads and foliage, shaped and engraved handles, jungin [pure silver] seal (small inlay pieces missing)
