A fine Dutch silver tobacco box
Apparently unmarked, the Netherlands, circa 1740
Of shaped oblong form, the underneath finely engraved with a crowned monogram flanked by floral C-scrolls and strapwork on a stippled ground. The plain sides and hinged cover with moulded bands, the cover engraved with similar floral C-scrolls and strapwork on a stippled ground, centered by a coat-of-arms
