A gold and mother of pearl snuff bottle
Apparently unmarked, possibly circa 1750
The pear-shaped bottle on spreading high-domed base, set with two mother of pearl plaques carved with strapwork, shells and rosettes against piqué gold ground, each side set with a shaped gold plaque depicting a dog and a duck respectively a bird near flowers, the moulded and chased gold mounts foliate-shaped, with shell-shaped stopper
