IRAN, LATE 19TH CENTURY
The fruit of naturalistic form decorated with four gold overlaid cusped floral medallions, three leaves spreading from the stem each with gold veining, fourth leaf missing, very slight surface oxidation
4¼in. (11cm.) high
Provenance
By verbal tradition a gift from Muzaffar al-Din Shah to King Vittorio Emanuele III at the beginning of the 20th century.
