An album in the Topkapi is recorded as having been produced and signed by Muhammad Salih al-Katib al-Khaqani for a certain Vali Khan. That was dated in abjad to AH 948 (1541-42 AD), and the scribe may be the same as that of the present example (Mehdi Bayani, Ahval va Asar-e Khosh-Nevisan, Vol. III, Tehran, 1348 sh, p. 777).
