The stand rectangular, on four wing and paw feet, the gadrooned border with shells at intervals, with two pen troughs and fitted with two cut-glass inkwells with silver-gilt neck mounts and covers, and a central taperstick, the stand and inkwell covers engraved with a crest, fully marked
