With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 1977 and its subsequent sale on 19 December 1978.

The celebrated Nautilus reference 3700/1 was launched in 1976 and remained in production until 1986. The model is illustrated in Patek Philippe Wristwatches by Martin Huber & Alan Banbery, second edition, p. 231.
