Lot Essay

According to the present owner, this bracelet was offered to her as a wedding gift by a member of the Lacloche Family. Although the bangle is not signed it does however bear very similar stylistic characteristics to another bangle by Lacloche illustrated in David Bennett & Daniela Mascetti, Understanding Jewellery, Suffolk (1989), plate 602. Indeed this piece exhibits a technical ability only worthy of an important Maison such as the Maison Lacloche.
