A BURMESE BRONZE-MOUNTED PARCEL-GILT AND RED-PAINTED CHEST
Late 19th century
The rectangular hinged top above a plain frieze, the front and sides with applied cast bronze mounts depicting scenes of figures in pagoda temples with elephants and processional figures surrounded by scrolling floral decoration and waved borders, the front panel with mirrored and green glass beneath the pierced bronze borders, decoration refreshed
