The face with pierced eyes inset with shell opercule, pierced nose and mouth, the latter with painted teeth, the large ears with incised lenticular motifs and looped lobes, painted motifs in red, black and white, the elaborate superstructure on cane base with central fiber crest, one side with inset fiber ringlets in black gum, the other with white chalk and attached red feathers two old labels inscribed Tanzmaske tatuana Neu-Mecklenburg.
