DEMIDOV, Anatolii, Prince of San Donato (1813-1870). Voyage dans la Russie Méridionale et la Crimée par la Hongrie, la Valachie, et la Moldavie. Paris: Gihaut Brothers [1848].
2° (532 x 370mm). Title and 100 lithographed plates on India paper, extra-illustrated with a hand-coloured folding map, and an additional example of the first divisional title laid-in, this one coloured and stamped 'Bibliothèque de San Donato'. (Lacking half-title, the first few leaves on stubs, a few tears some of these repaired, spotting throughout mostly in the mounts and text.) Contemporary red morocco, sides with borders in blind and gilt, printed endpapers (rebacked preserving the original spine, corners repaired). Provenance: Gibraltar Garrison Library (bookplate ca. 1848-55 listing Major General R.W. Gardiner as Governor; cancelled shelf-marks).
