Lot Essay

William de Belleroche was a friend and biographer of Frank Brangwyn and, in the process, persuaded Brangwyn to sketch and paint images for reproduction in Brangwyn Talks, 1948. This slight, but competent, sketch may have been intended for one of the books and might be number 41 in Belleroche's personal catalogue, titled Castle in Spain.

We are grateful to Dr. Libby Horner for her help in preparing this catalogue entry.
