originally from a makimono, in sumi, colours and gilt on paper, depicting scenes from a legendary tale with hunters chasing wild boar, deer and hares, a procession entering a compound flanked by attendants, ladies and dignitaries on terraces and a group of samurai being attacked by a throng of birds -- each 11¾in. x 17¼in. (29.9cm. x 43.8cm.), mounted, glazed and in gilt wood frames. (6)
