A FAMILLE ROSE HU-SHAPED VASE, GUANGXU MARK AND OF THE PERIOD (1875-1908)
of flattened rectangular form, applied with double lug handles, enamelled on one side in a peach-shaped cartouche with a bird on a chrysanthemum branch, a similar cartouche with butterflies and flowers on the other side, both reserved on a ground of confronted iron-red dragons and flaming pearls amongst blue enamel clouds, iron-red six-character mark -- 10½ in. (27 cm.) high
