A LARGE FAMILLE ROSE CANDLE-HOLDER, 19TH CENTURY
Formed in two sections, the hollow lower half of bell and globular shape, and the detachable upper half formed as a tapering stem with dish-shaped mouth rising from a large circular dish, enamelled with stylised dragon-like motifs amongst scrolling flowers and foliage, and iron-red bats amongst clouds -- 18¼ in. (46.2 cm.) high overall.
