A PAIR OF FAMILLE ROSE 'DA YA ZHAI' JARDINIERES, GUANGXU (1875-1908)
each of slightly flaring cylindrical form with moulded pale green horizontal ribs, brightly enamelled on the exterior with pheasants in flight amongst peony and fruiting vine sprays, an iron-red 'tian di jia chun' (spring throughout heaven and earth) mark dividing two dragons within a cartouche below the rim, all reserved on a yellow ground, the interiors white, iron-red four-character mark 'da ya zhai zhi' (Studio of Great Elegance) to base -- 9½ in. (24 cm.) diam. (2)
