A WUCAI BOWL, DAOGUANG MARK AND PERIOD (1822-1851)
painted to the exterior in underglaze blue, iron-red, green, yellow and aubergine enamels with alternating dragons and pheonix amongst flowering blossoms, the rim decorated with the bajixiang and ruyi-head motifs, the interior well with a further dragon chasing a flaming pearl amongst thunder bolts, underglaze blue seal mark to base -- 6 3/16in. (15.7cm.) wide.
