A BLUE AND WHITE 'DRAGON' BOWL, KANGXI (1662-1722)
thinly potted with slightly flaring rim, painted in a soft blue with four dragons in mutual pursuit amongst lotus sprays above a band of ruyi-heads on the exterior, the interior with a band of similar dragons at the rim around a central roundel with a cruciform motif and ribbons, Chenghua six-character mark to base -- 8 5/8 in. (22 cm.) diam.
