A VIENNA TRANSPARENT-ENAMELLED BEAKER (RANFTBECHER)
CIRCA 1815-20
Decorated in the workshop of Anton Kothgasser with a classically draped bare-breasted woman, kneeling and holding aloft a flaming heart within a rectangular amber-stained cartouche gilt with flowerheads alternating with leafy branches, titled L'estimer., below, within an amber-stained gilt-line rectangular cartouche, the reverse rim with a panel of gilt palmettes on an amber-stained band, on a cog-wheel and star-cut base, with gilt line rim (slight rubbing to gilding)
