A #5219 Selmer trumpet owned by Louis Armstrong. The trumpet was in the possession of Joseph Glaser, Armstrong's, close friend, manager and owner of Associated Booking Corporation based in New York City. Sometime in the early 1960s the trumpet was gifted to a friend of Mr. Glaser's whose son was playing trumpet in a school orchestra, the trumpet has been in his possession ever since.The trumpet is engraved Henri Selmer, Rue D'Ancourt, Paris and Louis Armstrong, and is accompanied by the original case. 19½in.
