MARK OF WILLIAM BURWASH AND RICHARD SIBLEY, LONDON, 1810
Oblong and with gadrooned rim with shell corners, the hinged cover with reeded scroll handle, with part-turned wood handle, engraved with a crest below a baron's coronet, marked underneath and inside cover
9¾ in. (25 cm.) wide
gross weight 45 oz. (1,408 gr.)
The crest is that of Fox presumably for Henry Richard, 2nd Baron Holland (1773-1840). He married Elizabeth (d.1845), daughter and heir of Richard Vassall, in 1797.
