'CHOUETTE', A PATINATED BRONZE SCULPTURE BY FRANCOIS POMPON, DESIGNED IN 1927, CAST BETWEEN 1927 AND 1933
This model is called 'Owl with shallow eyes' to be distinguished from the previous 'Owl with outstanding eyes' and was cast by Valsuani from 1927. Another example is in the collections of the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Dijon.
This lot will be sold with a certificate of authentication from Mrs. Liliane Colas

Cette chouette appelée 'yeux creux' pour la distinguer du modèle 'yeux saillants', est éditée par Valsuani à partir de 1927. Une épreuve de ce modèle fait partie des collections du Musée des Beaux-Arts de Dijon.
