A prominent wildlife artist whose work is inspired by his many trips to North America's national parks, Europe, South America and Africa, Guy Coheleach was born in New York City in 1933. He graduated from Cooper Union in 1956 and after serving in Korea with the 65th Combat Engineers (1954-55) began to pursue his artistic career.
In the last fourteen years, Coheleach has had solo exhibitions at museums across the United States and received many awards including the Society of Animal Artists' Award of Excellence, no less than eight times. He is an active conservationist and his endowment to the University of Tennessee provides nearly six full scholarships to the School of Wildlife Management each year.
