A vase painted with similar scenes obviously depicting the West Lake, as most of the buildings are identified by name, is illustrated in the Kangxi Porcelain Ware from the Shanghai Museum Collection, Hong Kong, 1998, pl. 55. The present vase is closely related to the the Shanghai example in its painting style.
