A TURQUOISE-GROUND FAMILLE ROSE BOWL AND COVER
TONGZHI EARLY GUANGXU PERIOD (1862-1908)

With deep rounded sides rising to a slightly flared rim, decorated in famille rose enamels with a bird perched on a branch of wisteria beside flowering branches of roses, the flowering wisteria extending over the rim and into the interior, inscribed in iron-red below the mouth rim with the characters, Dayazhai, beside the Tian Di Yi Jia Chun sealmark, all on a pale turquoise-ground, with narrow gilt bands encircling the rim and top of the ring foot, the cover with similar decoration extending towards the interior and with the same marks, the base and the exterior of the cover bearing iron-red Yong Qing Chang Chun marks
