MAKER'S MARK PARTIALLY OVERSTRUCK BY THE KOKOSHNIK, P? (CYRILLIC), 1908/17
Of cushion shape, the cover depicting a peacock in shades of lilac and mauve enhanced with gilt whorls on a powder blue ground, the sides and base with floral decoration in numerous colours edged with grass-green bead borders; also a similar cushion-shaped pill box, mark of Gustav Klingert, Moscow, circa 1890, decorated all over with scrolling cloissons on a turquoise ground with white bead borders; and a desk seal, maker's mark indistinct, Moscow, circa 1890, decorated with stylised flowers and foliage in traditional colours and edged with two bands of turquoise enamel beads (3)
