QIANLONG (1770-1780)
Finely enamelled in the 'mandarin' palette with two large European-subject cartouches on the exterior depicting on one side the hunt setting off in pursuit of a fox and, on the other, halting below trees in which two pheasants have escaped the baying hounds below, the interior with a roundel depicting the pheasants, hounds and one of the European huntsmen, below a very elaborate border at the rim
