Signed on the chapter ring 'Wm Grimes Londini fecit', the centre with acorn engraving and alarm-setting disc, single steel hand, probably original brass side doors, one engraved 1719 to its inside, engraved fret to the front, side frets lacking, the two train movement with verge escapement and countwheel strike on bell, with hoop and spurs to the rear, alarm work now lacking, in a walnut longcase
