American; 19th century
[unsigned], the verso, engraved with a large American eagle with an American flag on a staff, the eagle clutching in her beak a banner inscribed with "E Pluribus Unum", over an American shield. On the recto, and American frigate under partial sail, with decorative floral and repeating patterns along the top and bottom.
