Lot Essay

The Maria Elisa was built at the wharf of the brothers Pot in Rotterdam, where she was launched on 10 September 1853. She was owned by the shipping company of James Barge in Amsterdam and commanded by captain M. van de Putte from 1853 to 1861. In 1877 she was sold in Singapore for Nlg. 1.200.
