A RARE FAMILLE ROSE TEA-PROCESSING PLATE
CIRCA 1745
Finely enameled in the center with an idealized scene of tea production, one lady on a ladder handing leaves down from a tree to her companions who hold baskets, other ladies inside a silver-roofed pavilion sorting the leaves into trays, one with a pair of gilt shears in her hand, the borders with gilt-edged riverscapes alternating with lovebirds in rose boughs
