The pepper casters baluster form, the salt cellars cauldron form, each with hammered surface, one caster applied with copper crab and silver octopus with copper eyes, the other caster with silver crab and octopus, the cellars applied with a moon and owl and Japanese mask, the spoons applied with floral branch, the interior of cellars gilt, each marked under base, also with French import marks, the spoons marked on reverse
The casters 4¼ in. high; 9 oz. 10 dwt. gross weight (6)
