Each painted in the 17th century style and enriched in gilt with galleons in a harbor reserved in an oval against a black seeded ground reserved with foliate scrolls and stylized flowers, the whole within a trellis frame reserved with four oval panels of stylized Chinese flowering branches, three also with birds, a rosette at each corner
7 x 10¼ in. (17.8 x 26 cm.), within ebonized wood frames (2)

The present plaques are an interesting mix of 17th century subject matter (shipping scenes within borders) and 18th century decorating techniques (delft doré), combined in the 19th century.
