La créativité artistique de Mauboussin et le sens aiguisé du marketing et des affaires de Trabert & Hoeffer développe un concept innovant: Reflection: Your Personality in a Jewel, concept qui offre aux femmes une ligne personnalisée de bijoux à un prix raisonnable. Cette broche à volutes en or 14K et améthystes est un exemple de cette ligne créative de bijoux, l'alliance d'un dessin abouti et du goût de la cliente. Cette ligne "Reflection" restera populaire jusque dans les annés 50. After opening in New York in 1929 and the immediately ensuing financial crisis, the prominent French jeweller Mauboussin merged with the American-based company Trabert & Hoeffer. Soon after, Trabert & Hoeffer, Inc.-Mauboussin introduced an innovative design concept in the 1930s, Reflection: Your Personality in a Jewel, which offered women a personalised line of jewellery at a reasonable price. This lot, a 14K gold and amethyst brooch, shows the essence of the Reflection concept. This brooch was most likely a collaboration of a pre-made design and the client's personal taste and preference. The Reflection line remained popular until the 1950s.
