An Iron-glazed Facetted Porcelain Jar and A Small Porcellaneous Bottle
Joseon and Goryeo dynasty (19th and 12th century)
The jar with upright, extended walls divided into eleven facets above the inset, circular foot and below slanted shoulders incised with a wavy line, and applied with an iron glaze pooling yellowish green, the mouth and foot rims unglazed; the small bottle of pear form covered with a powdery clear glaze with greenish flushes

Lot Essay

A paper label attached to the base of the small white bottle is inscribed in ink, "p. 127/Old Korai/W[illiam] W. Winkworth," a prominent English collector-connoisseur.
