Lot Essay

A slightly smaller (26.4 cm.) vase of very similar form, also dated to the Tang dynasty, is illustrated in Zui To no Bijutsu, vol. 3, 1976, p. 10, no. 1-58.

The result of Oxford Authentication thermoluminescence test no. P108y3 is consistent with the dating of this lot.
