Crisply cast, the center knob encircled by a narrow band of nipples alternating with zhicao and characters, a band of foliate scroll, a wider band of seven nipples separating scenes of various divine beasts, including the Black Turtle, a dragon holding the sun disc, a tiger holding a moon disc, other animals and birds, and Daoist immortals, and a narrow inscription band, all within hatchured borders below a dogtooth band and a band of clouds on the canted rim, with silvery black patina
