KANGXI SIX-CHARACTER MARKS IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE WITHIN DOUBLE CIRCLES AND OF THE PERIOD (1662-1722)
Each with deep rounded sides rising to an everted rim, the exterior incised with two five-clawed dragons striding through flames in pursuit of flaming pearls positioned above cruciform clouds above a band of rocks and waves, all in aubergine reserved against a green ground, the interiors white

Acquired by the grandfather of the present owners, Whampoa, Guangdong, circa 1890 - 1920s, thence by descent within the family.
