THREE CALLIGRAPHIES, OTTOMAN TURKEY AND QAJAR IRAN, 19TH CENTURY
Manuscript on paper, the first with 7ll. of black naskh in cloud bands on a gilt ground with gilt rosettes between verses, with blue outer border, on red paper, to reverse blue marbled paper with orange heart-shape - 5 x 7 1/2in (12.5 x 19cm); the second with 4ll. of black nasta'liq within gold ground, with green outer border - 9 3/4 x 6 1/4in (24.8 x 16cm); with 7ll. of black nasta'liq arranged in cloud bands on a gilt ground, with outer border of salmon pink and then outer border of green, on blue card - 10 3/4 x 7 3/4in (27.3 x 19.5cm) (3)
