Gouache on paper heightened with gilt, both birds brown with white and black feathers to wings and tail, yellow beaks and feet, on a green ground, surrounded by a border of gilt tulips, a further border of gilt vine on a blue ground, laid down on blue gold flecked paper - miniature 6 1/4 x 4in (15.8 x 10.2cm); page 14 3/4 x 10in (37.5 x 25.2cm)
