Of rectangular form with sliding lid on flat base, all of the surfaces decorated with square panels of mother-of-pearl, the top with a central rosette motif with panels radiating from a central ogival shape, the body covered with mother-of-pearl panels divided into smaller squares and rectangles by thin mother-of-pearl piping, the edges with plain wood stringing, the sliding lid with small circular bronze handle, the interior lined with red velvet and with small penbox in one corner, minor losses
